Rule Keepers, Big Machines & Brave Builders

Imagine a little place called Australia.

There are only 100 adults (scaled so it’s easy to see the pattern).

• 75 work for the Big Machines - big companies that keep the lights on.

• 10 are Brave Builders - tradies, clinic owners, solo practices, tiny firms, the people who back themselves.

• 15 are Rule Keepers - government, regulators, police, courts, planners, auditors.

Here’s the part that should make us blink twice:

The 15 are busy reducing the 10.

But if the 10 were gone, the 75 would be in a world of pain.
Because the 10 are the ones who fix things, build things, invent things, and keep towns alive when the Big Machines don’t bother showing up.

Now a new tool has arrived in Australia.
No, it’s not Albo Mk2.

For now, let’s call it the Thinking Engine.

FYI: The 15 fear the Engine.

Because deep down they know a lot of rule-keeper work is:

• forms,

• checking boxes,

• repeating the same letters,

• pushing paper from one pile to another with a serious face.

The Thinking Engine can do heaps of that faster.
Which is brilliant… unless your job is to be the pile.

Another fun fact to keep this simple:

• The 75 contribute about 2/3 of GDP.

• The 10 contribute about 1/3 of GDP.

• The 15 contribute zero direct GDP.

So the 75 and the 10 fund the 15.

Super interesting lens, once you remove the fluff.

This is the real choice point:

Do we use the Thinking Engine to build a service-to-all, regenerative system
that protects the Brave Builders…

Or do we use it to tighten the screws
until Australia wakes up one day and realises
we quietly regulated our best creators out of existence?

Because we've seen this movie before.

First it was manufacturing.
Now the pressure is shifting to the people who still dare to build.
